Cookie Monster @ H&M

Menswear is always fun. But how about the little boys section at H&M?

They're having a summer 4.95 tops sale. If you can fit it, worck it. Besides I haven't come across too many of these in adult sizes, so why not? There is one drawback though. If it fits well everywhere else, the neck feels a little tight. Enough to notice it but not enough to be uncomfortable. Also, if you're tall, well actually, if you're not short, it might be a little short. But hey, you can always say you did that on purpose.

Snakeskin Texture Bandage Heel

I'm into this kind of heel lately. This one's from Charlotte Russe. They have it in black too. I think I'd get the white and then get it in black just to have it.

FIFA 2010 Team USA Track Jackets

Oooh, these look warm. It seems to have gotten colder at the World Cup; the North Koreans and Brazilians were wearing long sleeve jerseys today. But anyway, Team USA was wearing these awesome track jackets before their first game.

I think I like the navy better, not sure.

Adidas at the World Cup

While the Nike Elite Series seems to be the most popular along with another currently unidentified yellow pair of cleats, I spotted these during one of those million replays of the same play.

Colbert and the World Cup

Goooooooooooooal!

LOL, awesome!

Converse 2010 FIFA

Guess what I found on ebay?

I was looking for FIFA gear (I know, late) since mostly everywhere else is sold out. And I saw...

...this. Oh, and...

You know, it really doesn't matter who I'm supporting (at the end of the day it's an awesome global event anyway), but I WANT one of these! I especially like the England one. It's HAWT. I didn't see these on the Converse website so maybe the person who's selling them custom made them. Smart move.

On replacing the kicks

I mentioned in a previous post that my sneakers have a beautiful rip on the side which while not unusual with canvas sneakers, is not exactly fun in the rain. Now that I think of it, I should just get galoshes for the rain. But I get caught in the rain a lot without prior knowledge so I don't know. Regardless, it's time to replace my sneakers. I'm a little annoyed because they barely lasted six months. This pair in specific was a bad purchase.

Here are some of the sneakers I was considering.

Adidas Originals Honey Hi
The practical option. They have these in a bunch of colors, it also becomes a high top. I don't actually want- well no that's a lie. I love white sneakers. But my sneakers usually go on huge 5 mile treks around the city and plus I have a tendency of getting rained on. So white is not practical for this sneaker purchase. I'm trying to replace my everyday sneakers. White sneakers are good for once a week or once every two weeks. So the blue or black is probably what I'll end up with if I get these. Plus the price is in the $40-$50 range.

Supra TK Society
I posted about these before. This is my number one choice. But I can imagine the conversation with my mom already. She's not going to understand why I need to spend $75 on a pair of sneakers considering the number of sneakers that have fallen apart in my possession in the past few years. Of course I'll point out that those were canvas and then she'll try counter that if I'm going to drop that much on a pair of sneakers I have to throw out at least three other shoes. At that point I may or may (probably) not explain that they're not extra since I wear all of them and that other people have 200 pairs of shoes whereas I have under ten. I'm working on it. When my brother spends $80 (which in my book is practically cheap for men's shoes) on his sneakers my mom usually throws out his old ones, but he doesn't usually mind. I mind. These are only $75 on sale, otherwise they'd be around $140. So $75 isn't bad.

The Cesario XVI by Creative Recreation
Found these at Karmaloop. They kind of remind me of the Nike Greco sneakers I saw at DSW once (and never saw ever again! those specific ones had this little cartoon dog on the tongue). Naturally I was first drawn to the white ones. But I like the colors on these. They're $65 at Karmaloop, I haven't checked around anywhere else yet.

Of course as my brother puts it, when it comes to which sneakers to buy, the ideas are limitless. We both like sneakers so of course it's not which ones we want but which ones we should actually put down the cash for. Those three I'm actually considering. Now if we're talking about just sneakers in general here are a few I found interesting.

The Marlee Seersucker Jazz Sneaker by 80%20
Um... I sort of like these. They remind me of the boardwalk. And Williamsburg (though I'm not sure if that's a good thing). They're so... casual. I love it. It may sound stupid but I get a nice feel from them. But I'm a starving artist so me saying stuff like that isn't unusual.

The Chuck Taylor Skull Lo by Converse
The canvas sneakers... I can't stay away. I promise though that the design was what drew me in. It's always nice though that they're Chucks :D

The Trefoil Hi W by Adidas
I'm actually looking for silver shoes for a wedding. Of course these are not the ones I'm supposed to be looking for.

Spotted at FIFA 2010

First day of the World Cup. I wish I had someone to be excited with. It started out awesome but no victories or losses yet. Both games were draws.

I happened to see players on both the Mexican and South African teams wearing certain Nike's.

Now usually when I watch sports the thing I'm least impressed with apparel-wise is the sneakers. They usually wear sneakers that are great at what they do but otherwise unappealing. These however are pretty cool. They're from the Nike Elite series, Total90 Laser Elite FG Men's Cleats. They're a good $325.

Jack Spade Industrial Canvas Jaws Coal Bag

Well, perhaps I don't care if this is a men's bag. It's arrsome (sorry). Of course it doesn't actually say it's for men but Jack Spade... is for men.

Accessories and Outerwear

This post has nothing to do with Kwang-hee but you've got to admit that picture is funny. I'm actually quite a fan of ZE:A's stylist(s) (not actually sure who takes care of that) and while I'd love to cover their style, that's for another day. Their outerwear and accessories were pretty cool on that show.

Kate Spade 'it takes all sorts' Faceted Square Ring
This ring is poppin'. As my niece puts it, "I like the rings with the big charms, better." I'm really into the pyramid shape. I'm seeing it a lot lately and I like what I see. The teal on gold combination is a winner. Rings like this look really nice on your hands, even if your hands are tiny. The original price is $75 (which for Kate Spade is reasonable, in my opinion) but... it's on sale at Nordstrom for $36.90 Take it and run (Well, buy) http://tinyurl.com/2fx5unp
Peacock Handbag - French Connection
This apparently has a thin shoulder strap. It's not in any of the pictures so I'm assuming it's tucked inside. Odd. I can't figure out how big it is but I'm assuming it's clutch-sized. I'm loving the peacock design. Oh, it's 100% leather. I know some people don't like stuff like that. I'm half and half. I'd prefer if it was fake but it being real won't always discourage me from buying it. $79.99 http://tinyurl.com/24b4aen

Jonathon Aston Animal Footless Tights
I'm pretty sure these are not the same tights I saw on Go Fug Yourself's Lydia Fugearst post, but they're close. The real ones are eluding me. Then again I didn't look very hard because I really want to finish this post. I'll check later and update. These are out of stock at the moment on Asos.

SO Silver-Tone Smiley Face Leather Watch
I'm a total child, so of course I love this. And yes, it's in the Juniors' section at Kohl's. And I'm still going to buy it. I am constantly warring with the color yellow so the fact that I like this and it's yellow, requires that I purchase it immediately and put it in my makeup box next to the one yellow nail polish that I also happen to love. $11.99 http://tinyurl.com/2cwvrsw

Lowlife - 'Crunch' Design 5 Row Studded Belt (Black/Pink/Blue)
Don't you love the digital look of this belt? It reminds me of Tetris. It also reminds me of that time I painted the nails on one hand lavender and the other blue.

£25.00 @ http://tinyurl.com/2bvysut

Balenciaga City
Though I can't find this specific color anymore... that sucks because I lurve this color. I lurves it. Then again it's a $1500+ bag so it doesn't really matter, heh heh.

I spotted this in Marie Claire. It costs $745... somewhere. I'll update with that information, I have to look in the magazine again.

Ok, I am officially tired. More later!

Yesterday's Blog and Stumbleupon finds

So yesterday was my first official day of vacation. You know, sit at home and stare at the ceiling vacation. So I enjoyed not having to worry about school by taking a shower in the middle of the day and looking through fashion blogs (don't worry, this is going to get old real soon. No matter how much I hate school by the end of the semester, a week later I always want to go back). I was also on Stumbleupon through which I found some pretty cool stuff. The finds!

UPDATE: PS: You may have to click on some of the screenshots since the images are a little wide.

http://fashiondistraction.blogspot.com/

I think I found this blog through Stumbleupon, I'm not sure. She's added another post since then but the latest post when I first visited was May 30th. This girl has some WORKING style. I specifically like the way she styles her jackets and shoes. I have a shoe bias. When people style shoes well, I'm won. Oh, she's also on Lookbook.nu, It's similar to Chictopia.com. Fashion magazines and celebrity style are fun, but it's a whole other story with websites like Lookbook. I find a lot more inspiration when people upload their own looks or looks that they spotted on the street. Check it out, link above.

I get a very fun feel from this blog. Kind of like the post with the picture of the ice cream cones.

http://www.unique-vintage.com/

The prices are in the hundred and above range and it's mostly dresses. The picture above is from their casual clothing section. Actually, the dress in my last post was from this site.

http://luxirare.com/

"Killer Clothing and Fine Cuisine". Also extremely large high quality photos. Fashion Distraction had those two. And a good photographer. The first time I happened upon this site it was because of Pie Lollipops. That was fun. After that I happened upon a post on bento boxes. But yesterday was the first time I checked out the fashion component of the blog. Awesome food + awesome clothes? What's there not to love. Oh right, she recently opened an E-store.

Hit it: http://shopluxirare.com/web/index.php

I spotted this in the Street Style Lookbook on the Nylon website. I love the colors on the tights and combat boots. Actually the combination is just killer. But rest is rather killer as well, heh heh.

I had a feeling these shoes would look better on when I saw them on the Lislie Yeung Winter 2010 Shoe Collection Gallery on Fashionising.com. But they weren't the only awesome shoes in that collection. Actually, the real reason I looked through the gallery looks something like...

...this. Check it out: http://www.fashionising.com/pictures/s--Lislie-Yeung-Winter-2010-Shoe-Collection-6589-1.html

Also spotted at fashionising.com: Ana Locking shoes: Women's Fall 2010 / 2011 Collection. I loved it. Check it out here: http://www.fashionising.com/pictures/s--Ana-Locking-shoes-Womens-Fall-2010-2011-Collection-6639-1.html

That's all for now folks!
